Bombardier Inc (BBDb.TO: Quote) said on Thursday its aerospace division has received a firm order for five Challenger 850 business jets valued at about $156 million.

The Montreal-based planemaker did not name the buyer of the mid-sized jets, which typically seat 14 passengers plus two crew.

Bombardier's mid-sized and large business jets have continued to attract orders this year, while demand for its commercial planes has waned.

Bombardier's stock was 4 Canadian cents, or 1 percent, higher at C$3.94 on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Thursday afternoon.
