"Bones" fans had to make it through Season 10 without Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley) and it was, well, pretty tough. The FBI agent and psychologist left a big hole in the series when he was murdered in the Season 10 premiere. Yes, Booth has a new partner, but loyal viewers still miss the fan favorite character. However, the "Bones" family is about to get a little bigger and Sweets might get the tribute the he deserves.

In an interview with TVLine, "Bones" executive producer Michael Peterson teased the arrival of Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan's (Emily Deschanel) new baby -- It's a boy! -- and how the show will handle the growing family.

“It’s not the baby show, it’s the 'Bones' show,” said Peterson. “We’re trying to find the perfect balance, where we show the kids and [establish that] Booth and Brennan are great parents [without] making it solely about the children.”

However, fans can not help but be excited about the new addition to the "Bones" family, especially since Peterson hinted that the baby boy's name would have significant meaning for fans of the series. It would seem very likely that the baby's not-yet-announced name could have some connection to Booth's late-partner, whose death weighed heavily on the FBI agent throughout Season 10. Booth and Sweets were very close and it would seem fitting that Booth would in some way name his first son after his murdered friend.

Booth and Brennan will be getting some not-baby-related surprises in Season 10 as well. Earlier this week it was announced that Kim Raver, who portrayed Department of Defense liaison Audrey Raines in the hit series “24,” will guest star in the two-episode opener of “Bones” Season 11. Raver will play FBI special agent Grace Miller, who will become a key figure in tracking down a missing Agent Booth in the premiere in an episode Peterson previously told TVLine was "a true thriller – somewhere between a traditional 'Bones' and an episode of '24.'"

Plus, the series has also booked Betty White for an episode. The iconic 93-year-old actress will play Dr. Beth Mayer, a veteran forensic scientist whom Brennan and Booth consult on a new murder case. However, White's Mayer will cause some tension for Booth and Brennan when she brings out their more competitive tendencies.

Will Booth and Brennan name their son after Sweets? Fans will have to wait to find out. "Bones" Season 11 premieres Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox.
