AUSTIN, Texas -- The cast of “Boy Meets World” reunited at the ATX Television Festival here on Friday, and with them was Lily Nicksay -- the original Morgan Matthews. Many will remember that Cory’s and Eric’s little sister was an adorable 4-year-old in the first two seasons who disappeared in season two and then returned in the person of a different actress in season four.

So, what happened to the original Morgan? “Lily Nicksay has had this spectacular life that she has kept hidden,” “Boy Meets World” creator Michael Jacobs said, teasing the crowd.

The 25-year-old actress informed reporters about some of her recent life off-screen, explaining that she’s lived in Scotland for the past eight years. “I went to high school in the highlands of Scotland,” Nicksay said. “I sailed around Europe and lived with the Karen tribe in Thailand for a month.” Taking a break to laugh, Nicksay added that she even studied ancient Greek and Latin at St. Andrews.

Who would have thought!

“It’s been fabulous moving back to Los Angeles and rediscovering my childhood love of acting, and I just did an episode of ‘The Mentalist,’” she said. “It’s been a really wonderful time coming back.”

Besides “The Mentalist,” Nicksay has also made appearances in the past on “Judging Amy,” “The Guardian” and “8 Simple Rules.” When news broke of the “Girl Meets World” spin-off, Nicksay told TMZ she would “love to talk [to Disney] about being a part of it.” No word on whether Nicksay would be making an appearance on the new series, though.

Nicksay was on “Boy Meets World” for 35 episodes. She was replaced with a slightly older actress, Lindsay Ridgeway. The character of Morgan disappeared for a full season before Ridgeway made her appearance and coyly addressed being M.I.A. by saying it was the “longest timeout.”
