BP Plc's board will discuss the future of Chief Executive Tony Hayward when it meets on Monday to discuss the Gulf of Mexico oil spill and the firm's second-quarter results, sources familiar with the matter said.

They said the focus will be on the timing of Hayward's departure, rather than whether or not he would stay with the company.

The details are being worked out, one source said.
