SINGAPORE - BP reported on Thursday that a catalytic feed hydrotreater unit at its 475,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Texas City, Texas will be shut down for mechanical work, according to a filing to state regulators.

The shutdown starts on Dec. 3 and will last until Dec. 6.

The Cat Feed Hydrotreater Unit is shutting down on Dec. 3, 2009, in preparation for planned mechanical work, it said in the notices with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. (Reporting by Judy Hua; Editing by Himani Sarkar)
