Things are going well for Brad Pitt following his split from Angelina Jolie. However, the “Allied” star is not in a hurry to move on and join the dating world again.

Pitt, 53, has been enjoying a low-key social life after his breakup with Jolie. He reportedly chose to surround himself with his old buddies instead of finding a new love. “He often has friends over,” one insider close to the actor told People. “Old friends are back in his life, and he seems happy about it.”

The insider added that the two-time People’s Sexiest Man Alive has been working out almost daily. In fact, Pitt has lost a few pounds already and is in good shape.

Just recently, Pitt and Jolie were reportedly on speaking terms again. The estranged couple was caught in a messy divorce and custody battle after their split, so they have not talked directly since September last year. The discussions and negotiations pertaining to their divorce were done through their respective lawyers and assistants. However, things recently calmed down for the “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” stars so they reached out to each other for the sake of their kids.

“They recently started talking again and it’s a significant step. Up until now everything was through lawyers and assistants,” an insider told E! News. “They both have agreed to put the kids first.”

The source added that Jolie and Pitt’s conversations have been limited. They only talked about the children and their schedule. However, the “Troy” star was now allowed to spend more time with the kids.

Prior to this, Pitt was reportedly hiding out in an art studio and spent 15 hours sculpting while listening to sad songs. The “Fight Club” star reportedly worked on his sculpture until the early hours of the morning. “Art is a way for him to concentrate on one thing, taking his mind off everything else. He’d rather do that and be constructive than go out partying,” one source told Daily Mail.

However, with the recent progress in his relationship with Jolie, sources close to the actor claimed that “he seems much happier” now.
