Tuesday, Brazil's statistical office IBGE said in a report that the industrial production rose a seasonally adjusted 0.7% month-on-month in March. Economists were looking an increase of 1.3%.

On an annual basis, industrial production dropped 10% in March. Economists had predicted a decline of 9.1%.

In the first quarter, industrial production dipped 14.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.
