RTTNews - Monday, Brazil's statistical office IBGE said in a report that the industrial production rose a seasonally adjusted 1.1% month-on-month in April. Economists were looking for an increase of 0.6%.

On an annual basis, industrial production dropped 14.8% in April. Economists had predicted a decline of 13.1%.

In the first quarter, industrial production dipped 14.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.
