RTTNews - Wednesday, Brazil's statistical office IBGE announced that the national index of consumer price large, IPCA rose 0.47% month-on-month in May, slower than the 0.48% increase in the previous month. Economists were looking for an increase of 0.45%.

Year-on-year, consumer prices increased 5.20% in May, slower than the 5.53% recorded in the preceding month. Economists had expected an increase of 5.19%. A year earlier, consumer prices were up 0.79%.
