Former Los Angeles news anchor Bree Walker was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of drunk driving,

Walker, 61, was pulled over in Anaheim, Calif., after she ran a red light, Anaheim Police Sgt. Tim Schmidt told KTLA. While she was pulled over, an officer smelled alcohol on her breath and “her eyes were bloodshot and watery,” Schmidt added. She was pulled over around 12:35 a.m. Wednesday.

The former KCBS news anchor declined to take a sobriety test, which led to her arrest, according to KTLA. A blood test was taken at the Anaheim police station, where Walker stayed for only four hours before being released.

The Venice, Calif., resident wasn’t the only one in her car who was taken into custody. According to TMZ, her pit bull, Petey, was taken into the custody of animal control because there was nobody around to pick up the dog.

Walker made headlines in 1990 when it was revealed she had an affair with her then-KCBS colleague, Jim Lampley. Both Lampley and Walker were married to other people at the time, according to the Los Angeles Times. The pair got married but divorced in 2000.

Walker was also known as an advocate for the disabled. She was born with ectrodactyly, a genetic condition that causes missing fingers and toes. She was also born with syndactyly, which causes fingers and toes to be fused together, according to NBC Los Angeles.
