It’s official! Brian Austin Green is asking Megan Fox for spousal support.

The former “Beverly Hills 90210” star has checked off the box for spousal support in divorce documents filed Tuesday, TMZ reported, adding that this comes as no surprise as Green has had very little projects since the actor and Fox were in a car accident last December. The “Transformers” actress survived unscathed, however Green now suffers from vertigo.

Aside from spousal support, Green’s divorce filings is very similar to Fox’s divorce documents wherein the star cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, along with the request for joint custody for their children, E!News reported. However, Fox left the portion for spousal support blank in her divorce filing.

The “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” actress filed for divorce on Aug. 21, however, the separation date listed in divorce documents was June 15 this year, according to reports. A source exclusively told Us Weekly before news of Fox’s divorce filing came out that the actress has separated from Green. “They decided on it six months ago,” said the insider.

The exact reason for their separation remains vague although a source close to the former couple told Us Weekly at the time that Green and Fox’s relationship has been “rocky.” Another insider even commented that the actress is extremely “independent” and has “gone off and done her own thing recently.”

However, the two are committed to co-parent their children and remain on “friendly terms,” said an Us Weekly source. “They just want to do their own things,” the insider added.

Green and Fox were together for 11 years, wherein five of them were spent as a married couple. The two were first engaged in 2006, but called if off in 2009, People stated. They eventually rekindled their romance and got engaged for the second time in June 2010. Green and Fox were got married 24 days later at the Four Seasons Hotel in Hawaii.

The former couple share two children together, 3-year-old Noah Shannon and 18-month-old Bodhi Ransom.
