Former WWE wrestler Brian McGhee will reportedly be charged with first-degree murder in Florida after being implicated in the stabbing death of girlfriend Bianca McGaughey.

McGhee, who once wrestled as DT Porter in a WWE development territory, allegedly stabbed the 25-year-old McGaughey to death on Wednesday night, the Tampa Bay Times reports. Soon after, the 29-year-old former wrestler engaged authorities in a car chase, but was captured and arrested after crashing his car.

Authorities say McGhee, who also went by the wrestling moniker “The Future” Donovan Riddick, stabbed McGaughey “multiple times” on the sidewalk outside of her apartment, the Times reports. By early Thursday morning, McGhee’s girlfriend had died from wounds to her stomach, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office told reporters.

On Wednesday night, McGhee abruptly changed the profile picture of his Facebook account to an image of a bloody gash, prompting family and friends to inquire about his well-being. He posted the Facebook picture around the same time the stabbing is believed to have taken place.

According to police, McGhee fled the scene of the crime in a Pontiac Grand Prix before he could be apprehended, the Times reports. Authorities eventually spotted the car on a Tampa-area highway, prompting officers from the Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol to give chase.

McGhee was arrested after crashing his car into a Pasco County highway guard rail, the Times reports. The former wrestler was hospitalized for injuries sustained in the crash, but will reportedly be booked at Pasco County Jail and charged with first-degree murder.

According to his Facebook page, McGhee was former “cryptologic technician” with the U.S. Navy, and was employed by the WWE from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, he had reportedly worked as an assistant manager at a Missouri pawn shop.
