Bristol Palin, the eldest daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, became a mother for the second time Wednesday. The anti-abortion advocate took to her official Instagram page Thursday to announce the happy news.

She shared a photo of her daughter, Sailor, in her arms. “My sweet Sailor Grace was born yesterday, our family couldn't be more complete,” Palin, 25, captioned the image. The post received more than 6,200 likes and garnered dozens of comments from more than 78,000 followers.

Palin later added a second post that featured Tripp, her 6-year-old son, and Sailor in black-and-white. “My heart just doubled,” she said.

The “Dancing With the Stars” alum announced she was pregnant for the second time a month after she ended her engagement to U.S. Marine Dakota Meyer. The two split a week before they were scheduled to be married.

When Palin made her announcement in June, she acknowledged that some fans might be disappointed in her. “I wanted you guys to be the first to know that I am pregnant,” she said. “Honestly, I’ve been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one.” She still hasn’t said who the father is, though many assume it’s Meyer.

The abstinence advocate became pregnant with her first child in 2008 while she was in a relationship with Levi Johnston. The couple split when Tripp was a few months old.

Palin said she announced the news on her blog sooner than she would have preferred, because of “constant trolls who have nothing better to talk about.” In truth, rumors had already started to swirl about the former governor’s daughter.

“Bristol is a hypocrite! She has made a ton of money by preaching abstinence but yet is going to be an unwed mother for the second time in a matter of months. Typical Palin fashion, not practicing what they preach,” an insider told Radar Online at the time.
