British Industrial production in March overtook expectations for 0.5% expansion by growing 1.0% reversing the trend from February's 0.4% contraction. The annualized indicator reflected a contraction of 0.1%, though projections were more pessimistic at -0.5% climbing from the previous -1.5%.

AS for manufacturing production, it has proved to be growing faster than expected as it recorded 1.3% in March, beating the 0.6% expected after the previous month's contraction of 0.9%. On the year it also didn't disappoint as it recorded an expansion of 1.4% above the previous 0.2% and the expected 0.8%
