British visible trade deficit shrank in February to 6179 million from the previous 7987 million that was revised to -8066 million; projections pointed to a milder reduction in the trade balance to -7400 million.

The Non-EU trade deficit also merged more than expected to 3329 million opposed to the anticipated -3900 million, whereas the previous -4834 million was revised to -4665 million.

Therefore, the total trade deficit declined to 2061 million from the previous 3768 million that was revised to -3904 million, while the anticipated was -3000 million.
