Britney Spears is officially engaged.

The 30-year-old's longtime boyfriend, Jason Trawick, popped the question Thursday night in Los Angeles.

On Friday morning, the pop princess teased her fans with the news via Twitter.

OMG Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo, she wrote.

While Spears did not mention ring or engagement in her Tweet, a source close to the couple confirmed the news to People on Friday.

He surprised her after she gave him his gifts and after they had cake last night, a source told the magazine.

Trawick, 40, reportedly proposed with a Neil Lane diamond.

She's very happy. It's going to be a great weekend, added another source.

Spears, who recently wrapped her Femme Fatale world tour, has been dating Trawick, her former agent, since 2009.

The former Mouseketeer was previously married to Kevin Federline for three years, until their divorce in 2007. They have two sons -- Preston, 6, and Jayden James, 5. And of course, prior to Federline, Spears was married for 55 hours to her childhood friend, Jason Alexander, at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.

The Hold It Against Me singer has come a long way since Federline and Alexander. Gone are the days of her weird romantic relationship with paparazzo Adnan Ghalib, and gone are the days of her shaved head and public antics with the press.

In March, Spears, who turned 30 on Dec. 2, released her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale. The album debuted at number one and became the singer's first album to produce three top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Since Thursday night, news of Spears and Trawick's possible engagement has been tickling fans and gossipmongers alike. TMZ first reported that Trawick actually had plans to propose on Friday night in Las Vegas.

The newly engaged couple is expected to celebrate their happy news at a massive celebratory dinner at the Chocolate Lounge in the Paris Hotel, according to TMZ.

Congratulations to Britney Spears and Jason Trawick!
