Britney Spears was one of the stars who wowed fans during the recently held Billboard Music Awards with her shocking fashion ensemble and electrifying performance. However, critics on the show Fashion Police have given mixed reactions on Spears’ red carpet look.

The show Fashion Police has been known to critique ensembles worn by celebrities during events or even the stars’ daily wear. The Billboard Music Awards held in Las Vegas on Sunday was no different. Fashion Police hosts Melissa Rivers, Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski, along with its special co-hosts Margaret Cho and Nene Leakes, have shared their thoughts on the designer looks on display at the said awards show. One of the celebrities critiqued by the Fashion Police panel included Spears, E!News reported.

Fashion Police host Goreski shared that Spears’ pant-less red carpet look reminded him of Madonna’s risque black ensemble worn during the 2016 Met Gala. On the other hand, Rancic commented that she loved the “Toxic” singer’s very short black lace dress. "You either love it or hate it. I'm gonna say I love it cause it's Britney b----,” Rancic stated.

However, fellow hosts Rivers and Leakes were in disagreement over Rancic’s comment. Rivers compared Spears’ dress at the Billboard Music Awards to that of a stripper. "I don't know what you see but this is what a stripper wears for her meth dealer's funeral,” Rivers joked. Meanwhile, Leakes described it as “very trashy.” She also commented that Spears’ red carpet dress looked like she was just “wearing a pair of panties.”

Avid fans and fashion critics may recall that Spears wore a black Reem Acra dress for the red carpet event of the recently held Billboard Music Awards. The sheer one-piece dress featured intricate lace accents and showed off the singer’s skin, as well as black underwear. The said fashion ensemble also included a long black train but had no pants, Entertainment Tonight reported. To complete the look, Spears wore a pair of thigh-high fishnet boots.

Spears was one of the awardees during the annual music awards event. The singer received the prestigious Millennium Award. Previous awardees included Beyonce and the late Whitney Houston.
