Britney Spears finally addressed the issues claiming she doesn’t sing live during her performances and concerts.

The “Toxic” singer is aware that rumors of her lip-syncing have been swirling over the years. But in a new interview with an Israeli TV show prior to her performance in Tel Aviv on July 3, Spears finally spoke up to defend herself against the accusations.

“I’m glad you’re addressing this question because it’s really funny,” Spears said, after being asked how much of her “Piece of Me” tour concerts were live. “A lot of people think that I don’t sing live. I usually, because I’m dancing so much, I do have a little bit of playback, but there’s a mixture of my voice and the playback. It really pisses me off because I am busting my [butt] out there and singing at the same time and nobody ever really gives me credit for it, you know?”

Among the most controversial lip sync allegations involving Spears was her infamous performance of “Gimme More” at the MTV VMAS in 2007. The latest lip sync controversy plaguing the “Baby One More Time” singer came from her pit stop in Japan. A video taken of the performance showed her singing with her mouth out of sync with the music after a microphone slip, Entertainment Weekly reported

Her manager, Adam Leber, spoke in defense of Spears back in 2014. “To put on the show that she puts on, it’s virtually impossible to sing the entire time and do what she does,” Leber told Medium. “She’s singing on every song, basically, when she has the ability to sing. There’s no way you can dance for 90 minutes straight and sing the entire time.”

In other news, Spears ex-husband, Kevin Federline, recently opened up about what it is like co-parenting with the pop star. According to the professional dancer, he was not able to celebrate Father’s Day with his sons with Spears. “I’m used to not having all my kids, and this is gonna be one of those years,” said Federline. “When you are co-parenting, you have to be willing to give up some of the things you would really like to do. My boys will be gone, their mom’s off in Asia on tour. They are with me until the 15th, and then they are gone for the rest of the month. So I won’t have the boys for Father’s Day.”
