Brooke Hogan, the daughter of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, has decided to break off her engagement with her fiancé, Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Phil Costa.

Sources familiar with the situation claim that Hogan, 25, decided to call off the engagement several weeks ago, TMZ reports. The couple got engaged in June.

According to the sources, Hogan has decided to focus on her music career, TMZ reports. The recording artist was reportedly worried that her relationship with Costa was moving ahead too fast, and she wanted to take some time before making a lifetime commitment.

While Hogan has yet to officially announce the end of the engagement, she has already posted evidence of the split on the Internet, TMZ notes. Hulk Hogan’s daughter posted a photo of herself to Instagram, and did not wear her engagement ring in the image.

Meanwhile, Hogan’s music career appears to be progressing as normal. The former Total Nonstop Action wrestling personality moved to Los Angeles to finish her latest album, according to TMZ. The relocation was also driven by a desire to be closer to her mother, Linda Hogan.

Costa proposed to Hogan while the couple vacationed in Las Vegas. Several photos of the moment, including a shot of Costa on one knee and various pictures of Hogan’s reaction, quickly went viral on the Internet.

“Happiest moment of my LIFE,” the former “Hogan Knows Best” star wrote on Instagram. “I am marrying my best friend. I wouldn’t choose anyone else. I am so lucky and so grateful.”

Costa has yet to comment on the situation.
