Bruce Jenner is almost ready to go public about his transition from male to female. After months of rumors speculating that he would share the news in an interview with Diane Sawyer, ABC is finally confirming an official sit down. The network announced earlier today that "Bruce Jenner -- The Interview" will air April 24 at 9 p.m. EDT. According to TMZ, he plans to discuss everything, including his hormone therapy and rumored plastic surgeries.

Jenner, who has kept a relatively low profile since stories about his gender hit the Internet, made his first public appearance since breast augmentation rumors surfaced March 31. Jenner was spotted hiking in Malibu on Sunday wearing blue gym shorts, a baseball cap, large sunglasses and an oversized hoodie pulled tightly around his face. TMZ notes that the former Olympian was also sporting red painted fingernails during the sighting.

According to Radar Online Jenner underwent breast augmentation surgery “a few weeks ago.” A source told the site he was careful when choosing a size as “he didn’t want to look ridiculous.” The source added that Jenner is currently trying to manage both the recovery from the procedure as well as the changes that accompany his decision.

“Bruce has had to sleep in a recliner to help with the healing. He’s not allowed to lift anything and he has to wear a bra 24/7, but he’s expected to resume normal activities in the next six weeks,” the source revealed.

This is not the first surgery Jenner has allegedly undergone, bringing him one step closer to being a woman. On March 17, multiple outlets reported that Jenner had gotten a nose job, sculpting it to appear more feminine. Prior to that it was widely believed Jenner had gone in to have his Adam’s Apple shaved down.

TMZ claims that Jenner has been receiving hormone therapy treatments for nearly two years now, meaning he began his transition long before he and Kris Jenner ended their 23-year marriage. The two finalized their split in December 2014, citing irreconcilable differences. Bruce remains close to his stepchildren, though it was recently reported he and 28-year-old Rob Kardashian had words with one another after the troubled star’s most recent social media outburst.

Neither Jenner nor the rest of his family have spoken out about his transition. It is widely believed that his interview with Sawyer will serve as a lead-in to a docu-series on E!, following his transition from start to finish. That series, however, is said to have been halted while his family attempts to come to grips with his new identity.
