Anheuser-Busch is releasing “Bud Light Next,” a new version of its Bud Light that will be the company's first-ever beer to contain zero carbohydrates.

Bud Light Next will be available nationwide starting on Feb. 7. It is being marketed toward the next generation of beer drinkers who have proved to be interested in lighter alcoholic drinks like hard seltzers.

“As Bud Light enters 2022, we are pushing the beer category to new heights with the launch of Bud Light NEXT, our first-ever zero carb beer,” said Andy Goeler, the vice president of marketing of Bud Light in a press release.

The carb-less beer will contain 80 calories and have 4% alcohol by volume, which is 30 calories less and a 1% difference in alcohol than regular Bud Light beer. Prices for the new beer will be slightly higher.

The Bud Light Next launch will come about a week before the Super Bowl. Anheuser-Busch plans on introducing the new beer in a Super Bowl ad.
