RTTNews - Thursday, the Bulgarian National Bank said in a report that the current account deficit stood at EUR 122 million in June, narrowing from EUR 898.2 million in a year ago.

In June, the capital account surplus widened to EUR 7.7 million in June from EUR 0.4 million last year. However, the surplus in the financial account decreased to EUR 336.6 million from EUR 1.75 billion in a year ago.

In the January to June period, the current account deficit narrowed to EUR 2.13 billion from EUR 4.46 billion in the same period last year. During the period, the current account deficit was 6.3% of GDP compared to 13.1% last year

The current and capital account deficit amounted to EUR 1.83 billion in the January to June period, down from EUR 4.26 billion deficit in a year earlier.
