RTTNews - Friday, the Bulgaria's National Statistical Institute announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 3.9% year-over-year in May, slower than the 4.8% increase in the previous month.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices dropped 0.3% in May, in contrast to a 0.7% increase in April.

During the January to April period, consumer prices increased 5.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.

The harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 3% on an annual basis in May and it was flat compared to the preceding month.
