RTTNews - Wednesday, Bulgaria's National Statistical Institute said in a report that the retail sales excluding motor vehicle and motor cycles dropped 9.3% year-over-year in April, compared to the 8.3% fall in the previous month.

On a monthly basis, retail sales increased 3% in April, slower than the 5.2% increase in the previous month.

During the January to April period, retail sales dipped 6.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, wholesale trade excluding motor vehicles and motor cycles declined 7.5% year-on-year in April, after falling 9.6% in March. Month-on-month, wholesale trade increased 6.7%. For the first four months of the year, wholesale trade decreased 6.7% over a year ago.
