RTTNews - Bulgaria's gross domestic product or GDP dropped 3.5% year on-year in the first quarter, after rising 3.5% in the fourth quarter, the National Statistical Institute said Wednesday. Last year, in the first quarter, the GDP was up 7%.

On a quarterly basis, the GDP slipped a seasonally adjusted 5% in the first quarter, faster than a 1.6% fall in the fourth quarter. A year earlier, the GDP was up 1.8% sequentially.
