Over four million Bumbo Baby Seats were recalled on Wednesday after Bumbo International Trust announced a voluntary recall of its molded foam baby chairs due to safety concerns.

According to the recall issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, nearly two dozen reports of infant skull fractures associated with chairs under the recall were reported, citing babies wiggling easily out of the seats. The South Africa-based company said the recall will add a restraint belt and warnings to prevent further injuries associated with the Bumbo Baby Seat.

"Bumbo International Trust is conducting a voluntary recall to add a restraint belt and new warnings to the Bumbo Baby Seat," the company said in a statement. "Infants can maneuver out of or fall from the seat, posing a risk of serious injuries. Working closely with the CPSC, Bumbo has determined that the potential safety issue can be readily corrected in the home by adding a restraint belt. In addition, Bumbo is providing a new warning sticker for consumers to attach to the seat to re-emphasize existing warnings against use of the seat on any raised surfaces."

This isn't the first time a recall was issued on the Bumbo Baby Seat. According to The Associated Press, one million were recalled in 2007 after it failed to include warning labels for when the seats were placed on raised surfaces. The first recall came after as many as 50 accidents were reported on raised surfaces.

According to the CPSC, there have been 21 infants who have suffered skull fractures in association with the chairs.

Bumbo asked customers to refrain from using the chairs affected under the recall until they receive a free repair kit from the company.

The company said the chairs would have been purchased between Aug. 2003 and Aug. 2012, sold at Babies R Us, Target, Walmart and other retailers nationwide between $30 and $50. The affected chairs come in lime, blue, aqua, mint, lilac, rose pink, pink, pale yellow, yellow and orange, the company said, with the word "Bumbo" and an image of an elephant on top. Chairs under the recall will have the following words written on the bottom: "Manufactured by Bumbo South Africa Material: Polyurethane World Patent No. PCT: ZA/1999/00030."
