Online multiplayer shooter “Destiny” will launch in less than one week, and Sony Corp. (NYSE:SNY) launched an exclusive walkthrough of the map Exodus Blue on Wednesday, giving players a taste of the game’s PlayStation-exclusive player-vs-player multiplayer map.

The Exodus Blue map will be available only on the PlayStation 4 and PS3 until next fall. It will be available as part of the “Crucible” player-vs.-player mode and will be unlockable at Level 5. The map will be optimized for 3-on-3 or 6-on-6 matches and will support five separate game modes, Skirmish, Control, Clash, Salvage and Rumble.

Bungie also launched a “Planet View” web site that allows players to explore Mars, Venus and Earth’s moon.

“Destiny’s” Planet View feature looks and operates a lot like Google’s Street View because it’s powered by the same technology. The site uses the same tech that allows Google Earth and Google Maps to operate effectively.

“Destiny” is set to launch for the Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The game was developed by Bellevue, Washington-based Bungie and published by Activision as part of a decade long publishing deal. “Destiny” was first demonstrated during Sony’s conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2013.

“Destiny” is set 700 years in the future in a post-apocalyptic world following the Golden Age, a period of prosperity, technological advancement and peace. The title is set in a universe where humans have colonized a number of livable planets in the solar system. But a disastrous event known as “the Collapse” saw the mysterious destruction of these colonies, leaving mankind nearly extinct. When humans attempt to repopulate and recover after the Collapse, aggressive and dangerous alien races are discovered in various towns and cities. Players will have the task of investigating and destroying the aliens before the human race is wiped out.
