A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Northern California on Thursday, the United States Geological Survey reported.

There were not immediate reports of injuries or damage as of 1:25 p.m. PST, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The earthquake struck at 12:20 p.m. PST a depth of seven miles, about 47 miles northwest of Eureka, the USGS reported.

The quake was felt over a large swath of the region, according to the USGS.

No tsunami warning was issued.
