FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Building permits have increased tightly in December from November in Canada, while the consensus expected a decrease, according to StatCan, the Canadian Statistics Office.
BUilding permits have increased 0.4% to 6.1 billion in December from November, while they fell 9,9% in November. Decembe's figure hasbeaten the experts' forecasts which advanced a 0.5% decline.
Residential permitshave increased 1.8% to 3.9 billion, due to a 10,8% surge in the value of multi-familiar permits. The single-family's permits declined 3.2% to 2.4 billion.
