Canada's CPI for January came in as expected at 0.3% from -0.3% and rose to 1.9% for the year ending January; higher than the forecasted 1.8% and the prior 1.3%.

While the CPI Core for the month of January climbed to 0.1%, which is better actually than the predicted reading of 0.0% and the prior reading of 1.3% and rose to 2.0% for the year ending January; higher than the forecasted 1.9% and the prior reading of 1.5%.
