Canada released today the consumer price index for the month of February, where CPI rose by 0.3% in line with the prior rise and below estimates of 0.4%, while compared with a year earlier, CPI rose by 2.2% below the prior and expected estimate of 2.3 percent.

Core CPI rose in February by 0.2%, compared with the prior flat estimate and below the expected rise of 0.4%, while compared with a year earlier, core CPI rose by 0.9 percent, compared with the prior rise of 1.4% and the expected rise of 1.1%.
