Canada released today the GDP for the month of December, where the Canadian economy expanded by 0.5%, better than the prior and expected estimates of 0.4% and 0.3% respectively, while compared with a year earlier, the Canadian economy expanded by 3.2%, in line with the prior revised estimate and above median estimates of 2.8%.

The Canadian economy expanded during the fourth quarter of 2010 by 3.3 percent, well above the prior revised expansion of 1.8 percent and also better than median estimates of 3.0 percent.
