FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Building permits have declined lower than expected from October to November in Canada, while housing prices remained steady , growing at the same pace than in the previous month, according to StatCan, the Canadian Statistics Office.

Building permits have decreased 9.9% to 6.0 billion Dollar, de to fewer construction for both residential and not residential buildings. On the year the total amount of building permits has risen 12.4% in the first 11 months of 2007 compared to the same period on the previous year.

Housing prices has increased 6.1% year-on-year in November, at the same pace than in October, the yearly change on Canadian housing prices has not increased for the last 15 months. On the month, prices have increased 0.5% from October to November.
