Against the currency of US, the Canadian dollar rose to a 5-day high during this time period. The loonie hit as high as 1.2205 against the buck by 9:05 pm ET, with next upside target at 1.213 level. The dollar-loonie pair closed Monday's North American session at 1.2218.
