FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Canadian Ivey Purchasing managers' Index has bounced ump strongly in January to advance more than ten points in January from a contraction level in December, according to the Purchasing manager's association of Canada.

In January, the Ivey PMI has risen to 56.2 from the 45.9 points posted in December. In the first month of 2008 the Ivey PMI advanced higher than the 53.8 posted in January 2007.

The employment index increased to 52.8 in January, while the inventories rose to 50.7,, supplier deliveries were 45.2, and prices rose to 67.1.
