FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Canadian trade surplus widened in January to $ 3.2 billion from $ 2.3 billion in December, as exports grew substantially faster than in December, according to data by Statcan.

Exports have grown 3.6% in January in Canada to $38.0 billion, while imports have increased 1.0% to $34.7 billion.

Export prices have increased 4.2% in January and volumes have edged down 0.6%, whole import prices rose 1.7% with volumes declining 0.7%.
