Lindsey Miller, a 26-year old suffering from pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer, asked Joseph Gordon-Levitt out on a date by posting a video on her blog. She is a graduate student studying urban planning living in Los Angeles.

Miller explains on her blog that she was recently impressed by the film, 50/50. The film, a semi-autobiographical film written by Will Reiser, features a young man, played by Gordon-Levitt, suffering from cancer. While the review has received raves from critics, it has also been lauded for making struggles with a life-threatening illness relatable for the audience.

After seeing the film, Miller wrote on her blog, 'This guy gets it. And he's cute. I wonder if I could ever run into him somewhere.' But even though I live in LA, it seems impossible to find him.

In an effort to attract the 50/50 star, she posted a video of herself asking Gordon-Levitt on a date.

But, life is short. So, why not? she wrote on her blog.

According to E!, Gordon-Levitt is aware of Miller's daring YouTube invitation.

Two other people were telling me about this, but no I have not heard about it until then, Gordon-Levitt told E!

Miller's YouTube video has somewhat gone viral, with approximately 150,000 views.

I haven't seen the video, the actor told E!, but he added, I'll have to watch it.

Miller was diagnosed with pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer in Oct. 2010 following her 25th birthday. The type of tumors in her liver is rare and slow moving, but by the time of her diagnosis they had already spread to both lobes of her liver and pancreas. She has had surgery and chemotherapy, but she states there's no official cure.
