Model Candice Swanepoel is gearing up to be the next "it" girl of Victoria’s Secret.

As many of the lingerie company’s go-to models such as Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr and Adriana Lima are getting older, the brand is looking to establish new favorites.

Former icons such as Tyra Banks, Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum once paved the way for Ambrosio and Lima, who are now 31, and Kerr, who is 29. Despite still being young, the women are approaching the older end of modeling standards, according to Business Insider.

This makes way for the next generation of Victoria’s Secret to be lead by 24-year-old Swanepoel.

The South African beauty was the only model to be featured in a personal segment during the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show that aired Dec. 4 on CBS.

The montage delved into the model’s beginnings with the lingerie brand. She started as a stand-in model that would try on pieces to ensure they would properly fit other models. The company soon realized Swanepoel had the talent to actually model the clothes.

"I never experienced a model who looked good in everything. So, we put her in the show. It was obvious from the start that she was going to be the most famous," a Victoria’s Secret executive said during the montage.

The model works not only with Victoria’s Secret, but had gone on to pose for more top fashion magazines than any other model with the company. She has graced the covers of publications such as Vogue, Elle and GQ.

"Candice has become a superstar," said a creative director during the montage.

Business Insider suggests that Swanepoel could be in the running to model the infamous million-dollar Fantasy Bra at next year’s fashion show. The model, however, remains humble.

"It’s been amazing how this crazy career has been created. I feel that it's been given to me. I wouldn’t be anywhere without Victoria’s Secret," she said.
