Cheryl Cole stood out as the vixen of the French Riviera over the weekend at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. The Girls Aloud singer arrived at the 65th Annual Cannes for the screening of the film Amour, by director Michael Haneke, looking ravishing in white and crimson.

Cheryl Cole opted for a Stéphane Rolland Couture gown with white sheath dress and a voluminous mermaid skirt of crimson feathers. She paired her outfit with diamond jewelry and a sparkling red clutch.

The Mirror reported that Cole would only attend Cannes for 150 minutes, because the beauty needed to make it back to the UK in time for the premiere of What to Expect When You're Expecting. Cole appears as herself in the film, which stars an ensemble cast consisting of Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker, Elizabeth Banks and Chris Rock.

It's hectic for Cheryl at the moment, launching her comeback single, 'Call My Name,' which happens to coincide with the release of the film. But she planned to go to Cannes a while back, along with the other L'Oreal spokeswomen, the Mirror reported. Her visit is being timed with military precision. She is jetting in, attending a party and leaving in the time it takes most people to unpack. The cost is astronomical but it's important Cheryl's there, a source added.

Cherly Cole, along with Eva Longoria and Beyonce Knowles, is a spokesmodel for L'Oreal Paris. This partnership includes a promotional appearance at the French film festival wearing the brand's cosmetics paired with a stunning red carpet gown.

Cole will fly in on a private jet, then dash to the event. She has a selection of outfits, worth around 10,000 pound all together, and a range of diamonds to wear, the source added to the Mirror.

The 28-year-old surely made the most of her time at Cannes, delivering quite the entrance in her Rolland gown on day five of the French film festival.

Other red carpet stunners included Diane Kruger in Vivienne Westwood and Jessica Chastain in Gucci.

Mistress of ceremony of the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival, Berenice Bejo, also looked glamorous on day four of the soiree. Bejo wore a coral and seafoam pleated gown with a bodice decorated with floral embroidery. Bejo had promised that she would show off her very best at Cannes this year.

It's very important to play the game and give people something a little bit glamorous and, you know, not too normal, she told Hello! Magazine recently. I love it when actors make you dream a little bit, as they used to do.
