First it was all speculations and rumors about French first lady Carla Bruni’s pregnancy that triggered media frenzy in early 2011.

As the former supermodel’s rounded belly rather started becoming prominent, confirming her pregnancy in the following months, the paparazzi didn’t leave a stone unturned in snapping the Italian-born Bruni’s “obvious bump.”

But before the media could have followed further French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his Italo-French model-turned-singer and songwriter wife, Bruni has stated quite strictly that she won’t let their first child’s photograph to be shown publicly.

I understand the media interest (but) for children it's not possible. I will do everything to protect this infant and I'll be absolutely rigorous. I will never show photos of this child, I will never expose this child, Bruni, who is due to give birth in October, told TF1 television in an interview, Reuters reported.

The 43-year-old mother-to-be has a son from a former relationship. It would be her second child and Sarkozy's fourth child after the three sons he has from two former marriages.

Recently in July, Sarkozy and his Italian-born wife Bruni were photographed as they holidayed at their official retreat, Fort de Bregancon in Bormes les Mimosasand in France.

The couple has maintained a low profile with regard to their first child and didn’t even announce Bruni’s pregnancy officially despite making many public appearances together.
