The foreclosure saga with Casey Anthony’s parents, George and Cindy, seems to be over as their case was dismissed, allowing the couple to reportedly keep the home where their granddaughter, Caylee, was last seen alive in 2008.

George and Cindy were in a fierce battle to keep their Orlando, Florida home, which went into foreclosure back in 2017. The couple owed about $130,000 on the mortgage of the home, which U.S. Bank National Association was seeking payment of, forcing foreclosure on the house, Radar Online reported.

After several court dates, a dismissal was filed with the Orange County, Florida court on Sept. 10 after George and Cindy fought to keep the home.

The court documents obtained by the news outlet read, “Plaintiff Nationstar Mortgage LLC d/b/a Mr. Cooper and defendants/counter-plaintiffs Cynthia M. Anthony and George A. Anthony a/k/a George Anthony dismiss all of their claims and counterclaims, without prejudice, with each party to bear their own fees and costs.

Caylee was reported missing by Cindy on July 15, 2008. Casey was charged with the murder of her daughter but was later acquitted of the charges in a highly publicized trial in 2011. Casey’s defense team claimed that Caylee had drowned in a pool located in the backyard of George and Cindy’s home.
