Jennifer Lopez has canceled her appearance at the 2014 World Cup opening ceremonies, amid reports that she and boyfriend Casper Smart have split for good. The 44-year-old singer began dating the 27-year-old dancer over two years ago, and the relationship has caused controversy due to the age difference as well as his rumored sexuality.

In the past few weeks, two transgender models have come forward claiming they shared intimate moments with Smart. He denied the claims, telling Us Weekly, "There is no truth to any meeting or physical encounter. I am weighing my options on the appropriate action to take against Xristina Marie and/or 'The Sun.'" The Sun published a story claiming a model named Xristina Marie hooked up with the dancer before his split with Lopez was made public. A second woman, Sofie Vissa, 23, also accused Smart of exchanging sexy photos and intimate text messages with her.

Amid the damaging reports, Lopez has pulled out of her World Cup performance, scheduled for Thursday. The international superstar was expected to sing the 2014 World Cup official song, “We Are One (Ola Ola)," alongside rapper Pitbull and Claudia Leitte, a Brazilian artist.

"Regretfully Jennifer Lopez will not be attending this year's World Cup opening ceremonies," her rep told CNN in a statement late Sunday night. While her rep did not offer a reason, FIFA says it’s due to unspecified “production issues.”

Meanwhile, Smart is “upset about the split,” a source tells People. "He really wanted to stay with Jennifer. He loves her and her kids." On Friday, he was seen in Los Angeles packing up his belongings at Lopez’s home.
