The annual BAFTA Britannia Awards was a celebration of the works and accomplishments of some of the most talented individuals in the field of entertainment.

Held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, the event honored individuals who have dedicated their lives for the advancement of art forms of the moving image.

Invading this year's event on Nov.30, 2011 are Helena Bonham Carter, Ben Stiller, David Yates, John Lasseter and Warren Beatty.

Bonham picked the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year for her outstanding performances in a number of award-winning movies.

Helena Bonham Carter is an actress of immense versatility, and her range across movies of all genres is at once remarkable and fearless stated BAFTA Los Angeles Chairman Nigel Lythgoe. She unwaveringly maintains her integrity and, through her choice of roles, continually challenges both herself and her audiences' perception of her.

Ben Stiller, on the other hand, was honored with the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy. The Albert Broccoli award was presented by Robin Williams to Pixar chief John Lasseter, who confessed that when he first started working in animation he had a hard time drawing.

The Britannia Award is regarded as the highest accolade presented by BAFTA Los Angeles and was first presented in the year 1989 to Albert R. Cubby Broccoli, pioneer producer of the James Bond films. Since then, the award ceremony is regarded as an important in the British entertainment art calendar visited by the crème-de-la-crème of the industry.
