The "Sexiest Man Alive" will soon be the sexiest dad alive. Channing Tatum and his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, have announced that will soon be parents.

Reps for the couple told People magazine that they "are pleased to announce that they are expecting the birth of their first child next year."

Dewan-Tatum sported her teeny bump in a light blue empire gown at the VH1 Divas event in Los Angeles on Sunday. As she posed on the red carpet, she was coy about the baby rumors.

“We both want kids. So, we’ll see. When God wants it, we’ll be there,” she said, according to Access Hollywood.

Monday she spoke with the news source in a studio interview and divulged more about the couple's baby plans, without actually revealing the news.

“We want a family. We definitely want a family, whenever it’s meant to be. Whenever divine intervention comes in and creates that to happen,” she said.

In November, Tatum posed as the magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive," and admitted that he and his wife were in baby mode.

“I’m ready; I think she’s ready,” Tatum told People in the interview.

“The first number that pops into my head is three, but I just want one to be healthy and then we’ll see where we go after that.”

He added, “It’s really easy for us guys to say, ‘I want like 15 kids. Jenna will be like, ‘Well you better get another wife!’

The couple met in 2006 on the set of the dance movie "Step Up" and married in Malibu in 2009.
