Charlie Sheen checks into rehab as a 'preventative measure'
Charlie Sheen, the Two and a Half Men actor, has checked himself into rehab.
His publicist said he did this as a preventative measure. Sheen was charged earlier this month with felony menacing, third-degree assault and criminal mischief for an alleged Christmas Day assault on his wife Brooke Mueller.
He will take some time off his series Two and a Half Men. He has asked that his privacy be honored. No further statements are planned.
Meanwhile, Brooke Mueller - who was in rehab at a Malibu facility called The Canyon - was moved after the staff leaked her medical information. Her lawyer said she was in ongoing treatment.
Charlie has a March 15 court date in Aspen, following his domestic violence charges.
