Vin Diesel and the rest of the “Fast and Furious” gang are set to return to the big screen next week, with the release of “The Fate of the Furious.” One of the new faces that are joining the team in this installment is Charlize Theron.

On Tuesday, Theron attended the premiere of “The Fate and the Furious” in Berlin where she talked about her experience during filming. The “Snow White and the Huntsman” star played the role of the main villain in “Fast 8,” which she finds fun and challenging.

“This is a franchise that has been built for 16 years on this idea of family being kind of the cornerstone ... and to play a character that has to kind of break all of that up, it was fun, yeah, and challenging,” said Theron, accoridng to Reuters.

The Fast and Furious official Twitter account introduced showed Theron’s character last year showing the main baddie shown in a room with guns, flaunting a ponytail and wearing a Metallica T-shirt and jacket.

Meanwhile, aside from Theron, Diesel was spotted also spotted on the premiere. The photos shared by Daily Mail showed the duo cuddled in front of the cameras. Theron donned a strapless white gown that flared out to just above the ankle. She complemented her look with a pair of pearl earrings, myriad of rings and black heels. Diesel, on the other hand, wore black leather jacket and pants.

Only Diesel and Theron attended the premiere in Germany. Dwayne Johnson and Diesel were reportedly kept apart on the press tour due to their feuding. The Rock reportedly ranted online after Diesel arrived late in their final days of the 100-day Atlanta shoot last year. The “Moana” star complimented his female co-stars but said that it’s a different story when it comes to his male co-stars.
