If the latest reports are to be believed, London-based Premiership side Chelsea could lose their veteran French winger Florent Malouda to cash-rich French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) when the summer transfer window opens.

Malouda, 31, himself has revealed that he may be a target for his former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti who is currently serving at the Parc des Princes-based French club. He added that he has already talked to Ancelotti but is unsure if the proposed move is possible. However, he denied spilling out any details about the conversation between them.

Previously during the summer of 2011, Malouda was heavily linked to Italian Serie A giants Juventus with a move following Chelsea's acquisition of Spanish World Cup winning winger Juan Mata. Following the speculation, the player ahead of France's European Championship qualifier against Albania, insisted that he wanted to stay at Stamford Bridge until the next World Cup at least.

I've always been clear in my choices. It's going to be very difficult to take me out of my club. I've still got two years left on my Chelsea contract,” he said back at August. “My objective is to extend by one year until the 2014 World Cup. That hasn't changed and it won't change tonight.

It is to be seen if Chelsea agrees to let the player go as many of the club’s big names that are set to depart at the end of the season, according to Tribal Football report.

Malouda, who arrived from French Ligue 1 side Lyon in 2007 on a three-year contract, although he was set to join Liverpool initially, has made a total of 214 appearances for the North London-based club and has managed to find the back of the net 44 times in all competitions.
