The prolific Colombian is widely expected to move on at the end of the season, with Chelsea said to be desperate to bring him in as a replacement for Fernando Torres. However, competition for his signature is sure to be high, with Real Madrid strongly linked.
There were reports last month that Florentino Perez joked at an award ceremony, also attended by Falcao, that he would pass him a napkin asking him to join Madrid.
In recent days, reports in Spain intimated that Falcao and his Portuguese “super agent” Jorge Mendes had had dinner with Perez. Falcao has vehemently denied the claim, as well as the report that he had
“Everything is a lie,” he said, according to Sky Sports.
"Lately there has been all kinds of reports about me.
"All those that say I ate with Florentino are false. Neither is it true that I travelled with Cristiano Ronaldo to the Ballon d'Or gala."
Falcao, 26, appears to be keeping his options open regarding his next move, having made positive comments about Paris Saint-Germain and Italy of late.
Chelsea may soon be set to field interest from Spain for goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian, who is again impressing in his second season on-loan at Atletico Madrid following his move from Genk has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes.
But the 20-year-old’s father, also named Thibaut, has said that there has yet to be an approach by the La Liga leaders.
"At this moment there is no contract with Barcelona," he said, according to Sky Sports.
"A few days ago Thibaut had contact with the goalkeeper coach of Chelsea, who will soon report on his progress at Atletico.
"When this is done, we will work with Chelsea talk about his future."
With Petr Cech seemingly ensconced in the No. 1 position at Stamford Bridge, Courtois' agent has said that the player’s future remains up in the air.
"Thibaut will finish the season at Atletico,” Christophe Henrotay explained. “He belongs to Chelsea, we'll see later but there is no contact with Barca."
The agent of Marko Marin has also recently been discussing his client’s future at Chelsea. The German attacking midfielder has struggled to make an impact since his move from Werder Bremen after suffering an injury before the start of the season.
According to Metro, Russian side CSKA Moscow are interested in taking the 23-year-old on loan until the end of the season.
“I will not hide the fact that Marin has several interesting offers of a loan until the end of the season,” Fali Ramadani said.
“I cannot name clubs, but I can say that the offers come both from Western and Eastern Europe.
“Marko wants more playing time, but we understand that at a major club like Chelsea there will always be serious competition for places.
“Marin feels good in London but in order to play regularly for the German national team he needs to be a first-teamer.
“We’ll have a conversation soon with the Chelsea hierarchy about all possible options for him to continue his career.”
There has also been further news in recent days about Paris Saint-Germain youngster Hervin Ongenda. Chelsea are said to be one of the clubs monitoring the 17-year-old striker, along with Manchester United and Arsenal.
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester City can now be added to that list.
Ongenda made his debut for the Ligue 1 leaders earlier this month.
