If rumors are to be believed, West London-based Premiership side Chelsea are in danger of losing their highly talented and in-form Belgian goal keeper Thibaut Courtais who is currently serving his loan period with Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid, to fellow Spanish side Real Madrid.

Courtois, 19, has been in an impressive form the whole season for Atletico in the La Liga that has alerted Real Madrid who have monitored the player while his team was in action and have actually made him their next possible target in the summer, and are expected to make an attempt to lure away the player to the Bernabeu.

The player himself, however, is unmoved by such rumors and has dismissed any such news of him moving to Real Madrid at the end of the season, according to Tribal Football. He is clearly bent upon finishing the job in hand with Atletico for the rest of the season and is even hoping for an extended stay in Spain for another season with the club before he moves to his parent club.

I'm not sure about Real Madrid. These are things that I'm not happy about because they are not true, Courtois told Spanish radio station Onde Cero. I'm with Atletico and they're almost ready for me to stay another year here.

It will be interesting now to see if Real actually offers a transfer bid for the youngster in the summer and with the form the player is harboring at the moment, it will depend on Chelsea if they will let the youngster leave. It is also uncertain if the player will get any play time at Real which he is already receiving at Atletico and this may decide his future eventually.

Courtois, who arrived at Chelsea from Belgian Pro League side Racing Genk in 2011, is currently serving his loan period at Atletico Madrid. He made 46 appearances for the club this season in all competitions and even managed to keep 20 clean sheets for the Los Rojiblancos.
