The New York Rangers acquired goaltender Antti Raanta from the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for forward Ryan Haggerty, the teams announced Saturday.

The 26-year-old Raanta spent the past season with the Blackhawks and the Rockford (Illinois) IceHogs of the American Hockey League. Raanta has a NHL career record of 20-8-5 with the Blackhawks since being acquired by the team in 2013.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old Haggerty signed with the Rangers in March 2014. Haggerty had 15 goals and 18 assists with the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack in 2014-15.

The Blackhawks won the 2015 Stanley Cup Final, beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2 in the best-of-seven championship series. The Rangers lost to the Lightning in seven games in the Eastern Conference Final.
